July 1618 2021 (3 days)
It’s Friday afternoon. Summer vacation is starting for the central part of the Netherlands. You can tell by the traffic. The route to Den Bosch is busy. Rita and I are going for a weekend in this city. Around five o’clock, we drive into Hintham, a neighborhood of Den Bosch. Anke, a travel companion from the Malaysia trip ten years ago, lives here. She welcomes us warmly. As if we had only recently met, the stories about Malaysia and other trips begin to flow. Anke has prepared the dinner. After coffee, we say our goodbyes. We drive a short distance further north to the Fletcher Hotel Rosmalen along the A2. The hotel is located by the Rosmalense Plas (Rosmalen Lake). The temperature is still pleasant for an evening walk around the lake. Fishermen have set up their tents to spend the night by the water. In the room, we have a glass of wine. The weekend has begun.
