Dubai and Oman

Even before five o'clock, the phone rings. Wake-up call. In the dark, we leave for Nizwa to visit the livestock market. We first drive toward Muscat and turn right near the airport. As we enter Nizwa, we already see cars with animals in their pickup beds. The parking lot is crowded. Many people already have their newly bought animals loaded up. The livestock market itself is bustling. The animals are led in a large circle past potential buyers. On either side, the animals are inspected, and negotiations sometimes take place. It's fun to witness this spectacle.
