Lebanon > Waiting for the luggage

Dag 9 - Thursday, 25 May 2023

1:10 a.m., flight HV6308 lands on Schiphol’s Zwanenburg runway. From here, it’s still a short taxi to the gate. In the meantime, I’m already getting messages from my taxi driver saying he’s tracking the flight. He’s already seen that I’ve landed. It’s quiet at passport control. I scan my passport at the self-service gates. Now it’s just a matter of waiting for the luggage. The airport’s website lists 1:41 a.m. as the expected time for the baggage to arrive. That time passes. Only at 2:10 a.m. does my travel bag appear on the carousel. I quickly say goodbye to my travel companions, thanking them for the fun and pleasant week. I head outside, where the taxi is waiting. At this hour, the roads are extremely quiet. Twenty minutes later, at 2:45 a.m., I’m home.
