It takes a little getting used to, but when we wake up, we are not docked in a new port. We are out at sea, on our way to the British Virgin Islands, where we will arrive tomorrow morning. This means we can take it easy. At nine o’clock, we walk into the breakfast room. A sandwich, a croissant, and a cappuccino. After breakfast, we take a walk around the ship. There is so much to see and so much to do. Around the pool, it’s busy. Almost all the sunbeds are taken. At the end of the morning, we also take a dip in the pool. We’re just in time for the aqua aerobics — exercise in the water. Meanwhile, a lunch buffet is being set up around the pool. After swimming, I choose some tasty dishes and sit in the restaurant on my towel. My pants are still wet. On our balcony, we then enjoy the view over the flat, endless sea. There is no land in sight anywhere. In the afternoon, we return to the pool. The entertainment team is hosting a Pirate party. We don’t join the dancing and watch the party with a beer in hand. Because we are Costa club members, we received an invitation to a special club member show in the theater. The captain introduces himself and presents his staff. The most loyal customers are also honored. We are not among them yet. The show ends with a singer performing songs by Adele.
Because of the show, we are a bit late for dinner. This is no problem, and Regie and Jerlito welcome us just as enthusiastically as usual. Today’s main course is a bit disappointing compared to previous days. It can’t always be great. We end the evening in the theater. A spectacular dance show, “Glarazon,” is performed. Beautiful. Back in the cabin, we receive a message that tomorrow’s excursion to the island of Virgin Gorda will take place in the afternoon, not in the morning. This means we will visit the town of Road Town tomorrow morning.
