Germany - Back on board for the return flight to Germany

The sun is just rising on the horizon as the plane begins its descent toward Düsseldorf Airport. I managed to get a little bit of sleep last night. Time and again, my thoughts drifted back to the wonderful experiences of the past two weeks. At the baggage carousel, we collect our luggage. Then we look for the transfer to the parking lot. We have to report at the last exit of the arrivals hall. A shuttle van is already waiting there. We have to wait a bit longer for another couple. It turns out they made a mistake with their booking — they had only reserved parking until yesterday morning. They probably entered the date their flight departed rather than the return date. They now have to pay for the extra day, which leads to quite a bit of discussion. When we reach the car, we load our luggage and set the navigation for the Netherlands. In just over three hours, we drive back home.
