Ethiopia - Children at the market in Chencha

As the plane begins its descent into Khartoum, I wake up for a moment. I have to put my seat upright and fold away my tray table. Only a few people board in Khartoum. As far as I can see from my section of the plane, no one gets off. Once everyone is on board, it turns out the plane is not completely full. The seat next to me remains empty. I stretch out to get some sleep during the five hour and forty-five minute flight. From time to time, I drift off. This makes the flight pass quickly. At half past five, the cabin lights come back on for breakfast. It’s one hour earlier than in Ethiopia. I am just entering German airspace. Slightly ahead of schedule, I land at Frankfurt Airport. I then go in search of my connecting flight to Amsterdam.
